The occasional visitor to this modest page may have noticed that my favourite artists are represented by only a few of their pictures. This is not an indication of the quality of their work – in fact, for many of the artists I watch, their entire galleries could have been tossed wholesale into my faves folder. When I don't, it is because I want to manage my faves in such a way that no single artist is ruling the exhibition with an iron fist of excellence. Equality is the order of the day – how Scandinavian of me, as Bjork would have put it.

However, there is a small handful of artists who somehow manage to best the egalitarian regime. Take note of these, as they seem unstoppable at producing interesting / striking / awe inspiring material. The first to be mentioned is the photo-manipulator and colour + texture specialist Pahness who is immensely overrepresented among my faves. Her diptychs and ghostly exposures push my greed button in a way that has nothing to do with civilized art appreciation. A second, and just as important contributor is Notmystyle, the Vietnamese collage goddess; and Thienbao whose imaginary portraits are all too rare and almost always exquisite.
